Welcome to the 2005 Student-View Scholarship!

Due to a high volume of inquiries, this website is experiencing slow processing speeds that could result in a "Service Unavailable" message. Don't worry if you receive such a message while you are applying. Simply try again after February 26, 2005, when the speeds should be much faster. NOTE - The scholarship deadline has been extended to March 6, 2005 to accomodate the extra inquiries. Thanks for your patience.

TWO Student-View Scholarships are now being offered to college-bound high school seniors in over 15 states:

$5,000 Student-View Scholarship Essay Contest – Simply complete a 15-20 minute application and write a short essay of 250 words or less. This will make you eligible for BOTH the $5,000 Student-View Scholarship Essay contest AND the $1,000 Student-View Scholarship Drawing. There is NO age restriction for this $5,000 scholarship.

$1,000 Student-View Scholarship Drawing – If you don’t have the time or interest in writing an essay, simply complete the 15 – 20 minute application and skip the essay question. You will then be eligible just for the $1,000 Student-View Scholarship Drawing that will be awarded based on a random drawing. (You must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for the $1,000 Student-View Scholarship Drawing. This age restriction does not apply to the $5,000 scholarship contest. Click here for a complete list of contest rules.)

It is quick and easy to apply:

· NO minimum SAT/ACT score
· NO minimum grade point average
· NO lengthy application forms – everything is online
· NO application fees or required purchases
· Simply complete a 15-20 minute questionnaire about colleges in your region
· Write a short essay of 250 words or less telling colleges how they can more effectively reach out to student like you. (The essay is not required for the $1,000 Student-View Scholarship Drawing.)

"The Student-View scholarship is a wonderful opportunity. Just go online, complete a few questions, and have the chance to earn $1,000 toward college. There is no reason not to apply!"

Cherlynn Baumann

"I'm very glad I applied for the Student-View scholarship. The questionnaire was straightforward, easy to complete, and fun. Through this questionnaire, I had the chance to share my opinion of local colleges with the colleges themselves. I hope all high school students will take time to make their voices heard in college admissions offices. And the best part is by spending 10 minutes applying for the scholarship, I got $1,000 to put toward my own college education! Thanks, Student Insights."

NOTE:
The Student-View scholarship was previously limited to Western Pennsylvania, but is now available in over 11 states. The scholarship award has also been increased to $5,000.
